Unknown Cable behind ECU

hey.
the garage took my ECU out and never bothered putting it back.
i know that there are two large connectors at the front which connect to the ECU.

I have also found another cable going around to the back of the ECU holder. its quite thick and has a round connector on the end. I cant see where it connects to though

any ideas please?

i think its because the garage are a bunch of cowboys!

they took the ECU out, apparently cleaned it as it was full of water.

they showed me some pictures of the inside of my ECU, which they somehow recieved in an email (i dont see why they would receive it when they took the pics!!)

so i opened it up when i got home to find that it looked nothing like the pictures!!

anyway.. its an earthing cable then?
does anyone know where abouts it earths to?

oh, and if the ground cable isn't connected, would this stop the car from starting??

yes it would.

the earth point is the ecu holder top bolt. hard to get to
