Does anyone know where the remote central locking module is on the MK2 Ibiza Cupra? (not IR) my remote central locking doesn't work and I can't connect to the module on VAG-COM so think there might be a dodgy connection.

I've had a search around the forums but can't find it.

Im having a similar problem, my fob works fine, and sycronises fine (according to the light sequence on the fob after syncing) but doesnt activate the central locking?

could this just be a fuse or relay? if so where would it be?

I've got a 98 Ibiza 1.4 SXE

Could just be the fob. Take it an alarm place and ask them to test the signal.

if it's flashing (5) it means the fobs sending/syncing mode but of doors don't lock/unlock then it's not syncing fine to the car but could be trying and not sending strong enough signal or even trying and not sending a signal at all

has it worked previously ?

in the last 11 years changed batteries every time / remotes 20% of the time / control unit - never

i bought the car in the summer, central locking didnt work, thought it would just be the battery, changed the battery still didnt work. hav been trying to get it working since to no joy, even tried re-soldering the contacts in the remote.

this is the annoying and stupid bit, when closely examining the fob a couple weeks ago, i noticed a tiny diagram in the fob with 2 batteries and the separator. so i bought another battery and the light on the fob worked when i pressed buttons. so it has, in theory, 2 new batteries, though they are of slightly differing ages, have both had very little use so shouldnt hav run out.

also, when i hold a button down, it flashes, quickly but consitently. when the remote had just one battery in it flickered very weakly and inconsistently.

any suggestions?

check locking works with a key first :)

2x cr2016 with at the very least 2.95v in each

less than that forget it - it's basically a fairy light :)

yeah there are a few guys I believe! None that come to our bristol meets but I'm sure I could annoy someone else....also how would I go about pairing it with another car? i.e. will my key turn in another cars ignition barrel?
