Im still quite a newbie to vag com, ive basicly got the jest of some of the other blocks, but im still a little unsure on 115. Ive posted a recent log of my car so if anybody would care to explain on whats good and bad and what you should really be looking out for. I notice that it meets boost up until around the 4.5k mark and then doesnt seem to meet boost again? is this normal or does it not matter becasue its only a fraction from requsted?

Just a general explanation of requsted vs actual would be great using my logs.

Cheers :D

The best way to see what is happening is to do a graph of RPM against the two boost data sets.

I have done a quick one of yours (I was bored)!!

untitled-1.jpg

The specifed boost value will always start higher than acutal as it requests boost to match demand (Your right foot!)

The there will be a delay before actual meets specified, thats just the turbo spooling up.

Its also common that it will over boost past the specified and then settle. Yours looks good as it follows the specified really well with no major differences.

Althought the numbers look as though they are not matching, they never will that accurately. This is nothing to worry about unless they are more than 1-2 PSI different through the range.

Thats my view anyway......

Cheers for that, The graph kinda makes it abit more easy to understand.

How did you go about making the graph?
