Sounds like they didnt put it back properly, but makesure you know exactly where you stand when you go in demanding, they may not have touched it or it may have been in bad condition and coming away before they got to it. If its their fault then make em replace it, but makesure you are certain that it is.

its just proving that they did it. i have been in a similar wrangle with a garage and they blamed everything other than themselves for the damage. They were guilty though otherwise i doubt they would have agreed to go 50/50 on the replacement.

I had the same on my wifes 16v a couple of years ago.The main dealer left the clips off the under tray & had only hand tightened the sump plug resulting in it loosing most of the oil on the garage floor & the drive. After threatening with legal action the car was towed away and the job was done again. They even had to pay to have part of the driveway block paved again.Good luck & stand your ground.

i would demand a new one, dealers are known to forget things, i had a gearbox fitted (i supplied it) and on driving away realised they hadnt put a front engine mount bolt back on....what a fooking feeling that is when changing gear.

I got some money back off them but only after my uncle the solicitor threatened them.
