Hi all,

First time on here, am currently just undergoing a suspension refresh on my wife's Ibiza.

One thing I've made a choice on is essentially using the springs and dampers from a standard VW Polo 9N. Time will tell if I've made the wrong choice, the car's a 1.2, and just doesn't ride so great, maybe an indictment of these groups of cars in general.

I've noticed the front tyres on the car are getting close to the limit, so am just planning ahead.

It appears 195/60/15 seem to be quite cheaper than the standard 195/55/15.

Would there be any problems changing up to this? Some swotting would suggest the speedometer would under read, so 70 would be about 72, an increase of about 15mm for the wheel diameter.

Having said that, using this attempted different suspension might increase the ride height so might mean no difference. Plus a bit more comfort and ride.

Also, is it possible that a VAG COM could change the speedo to factor in this change of tyre size?

Many thanks in advance everyone.
