its that time to buy some new tyres, however confusion was quickly instilled
I currently run Toyo T1R's all round and so I looked at Toyo T1R's on mytyres.co.uk which were £106 a corner
then I looked at Goodyear Eagle F1's which were £101 a corner, so a little more reasonable
BUT then I saw Goodyear Eagle F1's "asymetric" which were £110 a corner
this is the guff from the asymetric ones:
High performance vehicle owners still look for safety first when it comes to choosing a tyre, closely followed by performance and comfort. So the challenge to our engineers was to complement the predictive safety systems found on modern cars and develop a tyre that could control these powerful modern vehicles without loss of performance. The result was the Eagle F1 Asymmetric. Combining our revolutionary Active Cornergrip Technology and Racing Compound derivatives, the pressure is evenly distributed when cornering at high speeds, meaning more contact patch grips the road more of the time.
The Eagle F1 Asymmetric benefits:
* High performance, extreme safety. Resistance to aquaplaning, wet handling
* Better tracking and grip in wet and dry conditions
* Ensuring a smoother, quieter ride
anyone tried these?
to be honest my Toyo's have always done the job very well, so I suspect I will go for these again, as I have read the Goodyears are also very good, but do not last quite as long
