Hi guys I'm running a seat Leon FR TDI, currently with "vredestein sessanta" tyres on a 225/45 17 sizing, these have worn down very quick in my eyes I'm talking new to nearly bald in about 5000 miles... (Mainly drove by the wife so not thrashed and spun everywhere ) Anyone recommend another decent tyre they are running and there reviews on them please?

Many thanks

I run conti sport contact 3's and i don't want to ever change to anything else. front lasted 2 years and rear are still going but on 2mm tread now so about 2years 6 months.
I do about 10-15000 miles a year but I don't hoon about.

also get your tracking checked, I found tyre pressures of 2.5 bar all round is better and will keep the tyre wearing flat rather than the 2.3bar which wore out the edges a bit fast

I also use Conti tyres but SportContact 5. Wear rate is average on the 5s due to the different compound but the amount of grip is good and with my spirited driving they lasted me 10000-12000mi on the front (which isn't bad in my opinion).

Cheers guys, what are they like for noise? Sounds like they last a lot longer than the vredestein iv got on, mine have wore slightly on outer edge think ill try them at 2.5bar when new ones fitted

Cheers

Hankook V12's or Contisports
Ran Contisports on my MK2 Leon FR both front and back and they were a great tyre.
Hankooks on my MK1 LCR and I was so impressed I've now bought a set for the rear of my 350Z

Cheers for the feedback, iv gone for the kumho ecsta sport ku39s so hopefully get some wear out of those now. 20k from a front set sounds good to me!
