First things first i have searched on got loads on this but not about this particular subject. i want to put LCR intercoolers on my LC has anyone done this?, i know that the inlet manifold faces the wrong way, could i put a LCR inlet on the LC and just move the throttle body over and fit the coolers, i know this sounds simplistic but that's why i am asking the question as i dont know the answer, and i am hoping one of you fine people out there does[B)]

Yea at a price though!! They are a rip off in my opinion, how can an FMIC be worth over £600 plus vat?

Chris, judge the std kit and say, a forge kit on the merits of both being new kits, the Actual set one if bought new would cost quite a lot of money once you buy the piping etc too and dont forget the extra benefit of the cooling over the twin intercooled setup.
What wold be pretty cool is if you could get hold of a 2nd hand fmic.

Resurrection of thread

Anyone got a diagram of the flow from turbo to inlet as i may be putting twin coolers on my LC, just weighing up if its do able.
Would the fact that i put a 90 degree bend on the inlet manifold to route it from one side to the other as the LCR has different inlet side

My plan is this

Use the charge pipe from the turbo exit to the NSF corner

Then the LCR intercooler across to the OSF, and utilise the OE manifold into the TB

when i had my cupra i bought a mk4 golf intercoolr kit off e-bay for 160 quid, a map sensor bracket from forge foe 14 quid got that welded to the bottom pipe for 3 quid and a little pipe welded on at the same time for the n75 pipe job done worked a treat never had an issue!! only other thing i did was change the pipe from the turbo to the charge pipe to a forge one, no real reason othere than i was given it so i used it

if you are set on having twin intercoolers might be worth getting a second SMIC from an LC as I believe they are actually bigger than the LCR smic's

near enough the same size side by side

FMIC would be the best solution, I just can't run that on my Leon

why cant you run a fmic?
is it because of the front fogs?
im sure the toyo kits let you run the front fogs, iirc

Your missing the point of this guys thread a bit, you could install the twin smic setup for a fraction of the cost of a forge fmic and to be honest running a Ko3s this would be a more than efficient setup.

I'd providing you can source an lcr/s3
Inlet for the same engine code I'd go for it I may well do the same dude.

Washer jets in the bumper gets well in the way of most things sadly.

I'm not convinced on the quality (read effectiveness) of the budget intercoolers yet, but the OE ones should do the trick since we're not running loads of boost (and subsequent heat)

I did fit them to the LC without any problems i used the LCR forge pipe from charge pipe to turbo you just need to make a reducer for the turbo end as its smaller than the LCR, i just cut the end off my LC one, i now have a front mount so the LCR intercoolers are kicking around in the garage some where. You cant use another LC intercooler as the the inlet/outlet point the wrong way.
