when driving along off boost when i put my foot down how quick should it get to peak boost?

my car has ko3s 3"d/p remap, fmic etc, peaks at around 20psi

when driving i can be going along in second at 1.5 k rpm then put foot down doesent reach 20psi till about 3.5-4k

this sound about right?

cheers

should start to spool about 2.5k, you wont reach peak then tho, probably not till about 3.5, then it should hold and start to tail off approx 5.5/6k

Yep, that's about right.

That's probably the 1 thing I do miss about the old K03. Instant boost! It would pick up nicely from around 2000rpm. Been caught out a few times with the K03S now due to the slight lag. Is this to do with the mapping or is it due to running higher boost (longer spool times)? I never had the original K03 remapped. Does it still kick in nice and early with a remapp?

theres not really much difference to be honest damo :)

I had both and didnt notice any mroe lag on mine, i hit full boost 3k onwards. builds up nice and progressivly without hitting you all at once, though it could be the mapping of ours why you notice it damo :)

Cheers Flash.

There is actually one other thing I miss about the K03 on a standard mapp............traction, lol.
I've had it spinning in 4th when the roads are a little greasy at about 80mph(scary).
Like you say, though, it is nice and progressive with our set-up.

Which reminds me. Still wanna see my boost controller wiring, LOL!
