Turbo silencer ring...

Was just browsing other forums and came across a guy who has removed his turbo silencer ring :|. I drive a Leon FR 150 and just wondered what benefits if any this would have?

It seems to be wuite big on trucks in the US and on Diesels especially.

Any feedback would be great

It seems to just be on american trucks they do it however there was a post on here that suggests it could be done with ANY diesel car? Id be interested in doing it to see the results lol!

Yes exactly :| Thats what im trying to find. Other people who know anything about it. As my first post says i have no idea what gains/benefits there is if any or if us Leon owners can even do it.

So all the info ive posted is the only info ive found. Lol.

Apparently it just makes it so you can hear turbo spool up more than with it on.
