Hi Guys,

Just wondering if removing the Turbo Silencer from the OEM pipe is easy/worth it in my LCR?

Did a search and found Feel's Charger Pipe thread but not really fussed with a bigger pipe, just fancy taking the Silencer out.

Cheers Si

Erm, it isn't any bigger
It is just the pipe with the silencer removed
And if you don't like bling mirror finish he does 2 or 3 different types of finish.

Is it worth it  yep I'd say so but it's like replacing the TIP on the otherside of the turbo, small difference, subtle but kinda cool....car sounds better (turbo spool) and pulls better above 4k rpm

Yes it can, it's a bit of a pain though. It's quite brittle so it chisels out fairly well, but takes a while to do... The best way is to burn is out with an oxy/acetaline torch. Then you have to weld in a sleeve.

Some pictures of one I did (Excuse the spatter on the inside, I hadn't cleaned up yet)

Some people have taken the end right off the stock pipe and welded on a straight bit, but I like to be able to go back to stock...

Honestly - this is where me making the charg pipes started, I made a replacement pipe to alow me to mod a few it because it takes so long to do. I realised it probably takes longer to mod a standard pipe than to make a new one, and that a new stock one is £100 from the dealers (so, if you screw it up...)
