Turbo Rattle?

this does sound exactly like the manifold bolts coming loose as mine got louder and louder and eventually i could hear it on start up!

Finally got my car seen to by Seat. After i told them that it may be manifold bolts and after they dismissed that idea guess what they found............
"Traced rattle sound to manifold bolts loose, refitted turbo all ok now."

did you tell them never to fob you off again i would have they thikn you dont have a clue when its obviouse that you do!!!

Without you guys i wouldn't have known but it doesn't give you confidence when you have to tell the garage what to look for!

I've got my car booked in the garage for next thursday, i told the service guy that other people had the same problem with the rattling, he took a look under the bonnet and said it looks like one of the turbo manifold bolts was loose, so a new set of bolts are on order and should be there for when it goes in. Thing is it was the same guy who tried to fob me off saying it was the turbo vains making the noise!!!

Turbo vains dont think so ! always best to check on here 4 a problem coz 9 times out 0f 10 somebody has had the same 1 !

The car went in for the noise sorting yesterday and it seems fine, drove it pretty hard yesterday with no strange noises. The warranty report said the turbo to manifold bolts were loose, so it wasn't the turbo vains after all like the service guy said. It also seems to be pulling better but i think thats just psychological.

Now i'm tempted to get it remapped!!
