search the following on this forum.

jabbasport, revo, custom code, ptorque .

they are all well used on this site.

if youve no other mods you should hopefully see 220bhp. some offer custom tuning which might get you another 10bhp.

unless your fitting a sports cat i wouldnt bother getting a custom map.

you really want a boost gauge to see whats happening

however i'd go back first thing cos it doesnt sound good

but 230bhp from just a remap...no chance in hell, prob more like 190-200

It more highlights the need to go down a tried and tested route!

Had you heard much feedback on their previous work?

If your not 'overwhelmed' by the result of a remap, you have an under reading maf.

If you have surging boost you have a faulty N75 valve.

Sounds like you have both faults to me.

Easy as, and a decent tuner should have been able to diagnose this. He should have been logging your vagcom maf values to diagnose this dodgy MAF sensor.

Ive never heard of response chips, not to say they aren't any good but you should have done a bit of research before choosing which map to go with.

Buy cheap, buy twice springs to mind;)

Simple search on here would have brought up Jabba/Revo/CC/APR/P-Torque etc

All the best with it bud, dont give up. Change these 2 and it will be as it should:)

Sounds to me also like the map needs something like an n75j valve, lesser known map have used n75js in the past my old one included, it fluctuated like hell until it was changed.

Yep could possibly be the DV also, especially if you haven't uprated it. standard valves are a weak point.

You would probably hear a leak though or a chattering noise if DV wasn't doing its job.

right......just got back from having car looked at!theyve suggested poss faulty maf sensor they are aware its a common problem, they also said its most likely to be the std exhaust if its fine in 1st and 2nd it shoulndt be the maf.
theyve offered my a blueflame exhaust with high flow cat and rolling road for £300 to get everything right.should i take them up on this???what would u do?

they've not got a clue....

did they log the car/maf values to tell you this?

exhaust should be fine unless it's fallen to bits
