Trouble starting my LC

LC got serviced a couple of months back, over the last couple of weeks i have noticed that occationally the LC wont start first time. After leaving it a minute it just about starts and coughs out a load of smoke....

Im assuming ive flooded it, and the smoke is the extra fuel burning off.

Just wondering why it has started doing this.....

One thing, I had to replace 1 ignition coil this week, but its still had trouble
starting today ....

Any Ideas......

You really need a diagnostic check/ Vag-Com. It could be a number of issues... plugs...Coolant temperature sensor ..

ok cheers, coolant temp sensor sounds interesting as it currently has a water pump leak..... going in thursday ( under warranty)

just wondering how this would affect the starting of the car though???
Also noticed that sometimes the idle flutters slighly between 600-700rpm..

Read on hear that its advisable to change all Ignition Coils if 1 goes.
would only replacing 1 give the problems i seem to be having ???

IF YOUVE HAD UR TIMING BELT CHANGED IT COULD BE THAT FUEL PUMP TIMING, needs to be adjusted, happened to mine and only had a problem starting in the mornings after that its cool. hope i helped

cheers for that.... yes I did have the timming belt changed back in April... which is when I had the water pump changed.... will mention the timming thing to them... many thanks.
