trim level 'hierarchy'

This will hopefully be a nice easy question for anyone who knows a little about the mk2's.

I'm considering one as my next car, please could someone just confirm the order of the trim levels? I'm particularly talking about the SE, Reference, Emocion, and Stylance. I assume the Sport will sit between these 4 and the FR.

I assume the S is the basic model, but don't know how the rest sit in between!

Is there any particular things that make one trim level a whole lot better or worse than the others? I fully appreciate as you go through the trim levels you pay more and then in theory get more, but was there any of them which were a particular good bargain?! Bit of a long shot I know but if there is something particularly good/bad at least I know sinc I guess it could be a clincher.

For the record I'm currently looking at a 1.9 stylance, although the OH is trying to persuade me we only need a 1.4 Ecomotive Ibiza.

From my knowledge of the buyers book thing, it goes reference, s, se, sport, stylance, Fr, cupra.

I haven't seen any stylances in the facelift model so not sure if its discontinued.
The higher your choosen model the more, gadgets u tend to get as standard, be it, alloy wheels, cruise control, dual zone climate control, ESP etc.

Ive a stylance myself and it came with all the gadgets as standard!

Refrence is higher up as far as im aware because they also do a Reference Sport

Stylance is now just the SE. I used to have a stylance and now have an SE. Same kit on both. Few more additions on the new SE. Both are good trim levels though.

The 2.0 Stylance with a Sport pack circa 2008 lost the dual zone climate, always seemed a bit of a daft spec move to me on the part of SEAT.

I believe "SE" and "Ecomotive SE" are identical apart from the lack of sun-roof option for the Ecomotive. When I ordered mine, all the reviews talked about a lack of options for it but the only thing I found I couldn't order was the sun-roof - I was told it's too heavy so would upset the economy figures (presumably pushing the car into the next bracket for consumption homologation).

Parkers have it a bit muddled up!!!

Ecomotive is not a trim just a badge applied to the economy model. list is not even in order with FL and pre FL variants jumbled up

Within that there was the special edition/limited run Reference Sport and K1 and a few others some not for UK sale.

Don't forget that Ecomotive S gains alloy wheels over standard S model and that the SE has different (nicer?) wheels than the Eco SE.

I prefer the Ecomotive SE wheels I think. But then I reckon I was the only person who actually liked the standard pre-FL FR 17" wheels... most people seemed to hate them but I liked 'em.

I think the Ecomotive wheels are much nicer than the standard multispoke SE wheels.

Can you tell me is there any specific difference between Stylance (Style), Sport, and FR trim level in Seat Leon MK2 1.9 TDI (2005-2010) in terms of : ground clearance (with same wheel size), springs and shock absorbers, seats (their comfort) and so on?

The 1.9tdi never had the FR trim, this was the 2.0 Tdi (170ps) and Tfsi (200ps) models pre face lift only.

I guess sport has the same suspension set up as the FR, so 10mm lower than standard. Sport sears are similar to FR seats I believe but FR has various badges and the bodykit, plus I believe it had all the stylance kit too.

I must admit I didn't think they did a 1.9tdi sport, but apparently they did. Most are S or Stylance models. The sport suspension on the Sport and FR models is harsh and crashy, but 'sporty'. I have 18" alloys which might make it harsher. Stylance is firmer than most competitors, the idea being that the leon is a sportier hatch in any trim. No Leon is particularly comfortable in the same manner that a Citroën might be, but that is sportiness for you! None are unbearable either though.

Yes, you are probably right, because this car I've looked is 1.9TDI Stylance + Sport pack. So it is Stylance with Recaro seats, 17" alloy wheels, and for suspension I'm not sure is it suspension of Sport/FR, and 10mm lower also or regular standard?
