ok where shall i start?

ive been having problems with my cupra since the day i got it tbh, it just doesnt want to boost, ive changed the maf, n75, and the n112 and also all vac pipes.


at first i was getting the tcs light on the dash which i found was the maf, so i changed it, the light went out but still no boost, so i then changed the n75, n112 and all vac pipes, still no boost (when i say no boost it is actually 5psi.

i then went to a garage as i was getting charge pressure control positive deviation, and they couldnt find any problems, but they did bypass the 112 and n75 and i got boost, but im not happy driving it bodged up tbh so it was back to the drawing board.

so for 3 months now ive had nothing butr crap and then last night the traction control light came on again and i get the following from vag com:
7 Faults Found:
17833 - EVAP Purge Valve (N80): Short to Ground
P1425 - 35-00 - -
17955 - Boost Pressure Regulation Valve (N75): Short to Ground
P1547 - 35-00 - -
17525 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating Circuit: B1 S2: Short to Ground
P1117 - 35-00 - -
17843 - Secondary Air Pump Relay (J299): Short to Ground
P1435 - 35-00 - -
17829 - Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Valve (N112): Short to Ground
P1421 - 35-00 - -
17695 - Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249): Open Circuit
P1287 - 35-00 - -
16486 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70): Signal too Low
P0102 - 35-00 - -
please help if you can i love my car but im very quickly going off it.


also the car is mapped, it has a chipped uk map on it and should run peak about 18psi (which it does when bodged.)

when did you have it mapped?

but either the wiring is mullered, the MAP sucks chops, the ECU is dieing, or you've got water in everywhere

If you could clear the codes and take it for a drive and check what codes reappaer it would be easier to make out. I assume your MAF code is from before, unless it was cleared -then you have another problematic MAF.
Might be worth finding out if any of those other codes are related electrically.
A wiring diagram would be handy..
Assume your N249 is not plugged in?

i had it mapped in january, cant see it being water tbh because up untill last night i only had the one code and theres been no water under the bonnet:confused: im just soo pi55ed off with it tbh, it seems the harder i try with it the more problems it gives me, only last week i had to replace a coil and my clutch pedal snapped.:cry:

i cleared it 10 times now mate and as soon as i start it all seven codes apear and the tcs light comes on within 5 sec's

thankyou daz and phill, no8 fuse was blown after checking again and now ive changed it im back to the old "positive deviation code":cry:

it seems that i get problems and fix them but all along i have 1 still in the back ground causing the lack of boost.

this might not help but i had a mark4 golf gti turbo with revo remap loads of other mods and maid 154bhp on the rolling road bill from badger 5 narrowed it down to the turbo was shot it just did not boost and it was a low mileage car just a thought

Might be worth checking the number of threads you have showing on your actuator rod. Should be ~13 threads from the top nut to the end of the rod.
Oh yes, 2 1/2 yrs im still learning, this forum is great though for tech stuff
