Transponder/Immobiliser Coding?

Hi all,
I have a SEAT Ibiza 2003 MK4 that needs it's transponder coded for the new flip key?
I've bought the transponder, so it just needs coding.

Cheapest quote I've had is £42.60 from Arnold Clark, who I can't stand.
I'll be calling up local boys tomorrow when they open, but I'm wondering if anyone on here does them, or knows someone that does them?

Willing to travel as far as Newcastle/Durham.

As long as it's cheaper than other quotes....

Thanks,
Lambro

Guy came to do it, but no luck. He said it should only take a couple of minutes for it to work, but it was taking a long time to connect.

He said next time, he'll bring his mates VAG specialist stuff, and he'll do it for £35. Oh well.

Also had no luck trying to code 2 remote keys to the car. Every time I code another one, it cancels the other one out.

In some cases, it may be necessary to clear out existing matched remotes using the following procedure:

[Select]

[46 - Cent. Conv.]

[Adaptation - 10]

Enter channel "00"

[Read]

[Save]

When the prompt asks if you are sure you want to save a value of 0 to Channel 00, click [Yes]

After doing so, no remotes will be matched. You'll need to match all of the remotes again.

Thanks, for the help, but I wasn't using VAG-COM for that, I tried doing the key coding on my own.

I'll have a go erasing the keys tomorrow, I have the instructions for doing it the manual way.

I have the cheap vag com cable lying around, but haven't had any luck with my desktop (W7) working with it.
I'll have to try my mum's laptop (XP Pro), and hopefully I can do some stuff that way.
You couldn't tell me what software/hardware you use to code Immobiliser's could you? Might be better than getting someone else to do it.

The guy that came round today had some sort of tablet with a 7" screen, and had like 3 wires attatched to the top of it. And he also had one of those Barclay Online Banking securtiy pin calculator-style password for it. Looked pretty nifty, but expensive.
