ok need new tyres for the front of the FR and i cant work out the difference between the T1R and PX4 except the fiver difference in price and a different tread pattern. Anyone got any ideas about grip, life, noise, which people think are better.... any help guys n girls??

if the PX4 you refer to is the same as the Proxes 4 (link) on the UK site there is very little difference in the description from the T1-R.

Some have mixed opinions about these tyres in wet weather, and in terms of length of tread life.

Also look at Goodyear GSD-3, and there is a Falken which costs about £70 from Camskill which has had quite good ratings.

both very good tyres, have px4's on mine for the second time now. Good grip in both wet and dry. When they do start to lose grip its predictable loss, rather than gripping then nothing and your off the road into a ditch like you find on budgets. Hope that makes sense. Have had the t1r's to but on different wheels. They felt very similar, thats the only reason I stuck with the px4.

i had exactly the same decison, i went for px4's as they are cheaper...read very little difference between the two, and they got a great write ups on a few review sites, also tread pattern looks nice :)

Have had them for about 3k now...really good wear and good grip in both wet and dry

also i think camskills is just the tyre/parts and not the fitting...black circles price includes the fitting iirc
