Anybody able to comment on the new Toyo "Proxes 4" tyres?

I've got to get some in about 3 hours so I'm hoping for a quick verdict from anybody who's tried them on 195/45/16 on a Mk3.

The choice is Proxes 4 or T1R's I believe.

well i have 2 proxes 4 and two t1R's tbh, my continentals before felt alot better.

My tyres are all miss matched though so really need to get that sorted asap like T1R front left and proxes 4 right then vice versa on the back..

Could possibly be my alignment and camber needs doing too but conti's just felt all around better.

Well for future reference I've gone with the Proxes 4, simply because not many people seem to have tried these yet and at £48 (same as the T1r's) I can get others if they don't last or suck.

The proxes 4 is a new upgrade from the t1s which is discontinued now. they have took the rain gullys on the edge of the tyre from the t1r and put swiggly lines in the middle.

they are good tyres but it depends what you want. they are are soft like all toyos and have good grip. the t1r r good in wet.

Where did you get them for that price? I've seen them for £55 a tyre. I need 195/40/17.

Wheelgame in Tadley (Basingstoke area, Hampshire)

I've looked again at the invoice and firstly that price is ex-vat and second it may include a SMALL discount as it's a Company account with them, as they do all our company tyres (small company, probably about 8 cars tops)

They're fantastic folks, always very helpful and really quick, always have stock.

Got 4 on the motor at the moment. Not the best tyre i've had, certainly in the wet. Can hold their own in the dry though, for the price, can't really complain.

Hello mate have you had Toyo T1-R's or S's and how do they compare to those??

I'm looking at them as you can get them in 205/40R16!

Will be better than any Yoko in the wet had 3 different set's the A539 were the only ones that weren't borderline dangerous in the wet, superb tyres in the dry admittadly but wouldn't have them this time of year!

I had the BFGoodridge on the car before and I must say that were superb in the dry and wet

I have just fitted T1Rs to the front now and there pretty good so far.I had the older T1Ss on my old XE corsa and they were total gash IMO
