Torque it up...

Just did a search to find out what i need to torque my wheel nuts up to on my Leon Cupra. I was suprised to see it appears to be 120Nm. Is that correct? It's just that my last car required 90Nm so i wasn't really expecting much of a difference! Does anyone know why the torque requirements vary so much?
