Have a new Leon Cupra TDI and am considering getting new springs and shocks as well as a front brake pad and disk upgrade. To reduce body roll and allow more confident braking and handling.

Am I jumping the gun and modding too quickly. Will this screw my warranty? And will doing this wear stock parts of the car more quickly. Is it stupid to replace brand bew parts already?

Need advise as I have the car booked in but am not sure if I am gonna go through with it.

It will bugger your warranty I think. I'm gonna leave any major modifications until my warranty runs out.

The choice is yours though!

more accurately it will bugger your warranty for any problems relating to the changed parts - if your turbo blows up you shouls still be covered.

Not too far away
You could look at the seat sport suspension and if you just change the disks and pads to another better than OE brand and not a size change I cant see that that would affect your warrenty :)

If you really want to modify the car then do it. Since your not fiddling with the engine then you should be ok with the warranty and as long as the fitter who installs your mods is good then your unlikley to experience any problems with them.

Where can I buy Seat Sports Suspension, how much is it and is it any good. I thought the Cupra came with it as standard?

I'm just about to purchase a New Ibiza Cupra 1.8 20V T 180 and am seriously considering (the next day almost) having Custom-Code provide a Phase One Generic Remap to increase the BHP from 180.

Can you say for certain that the warranty will remain for the parts that have not been changed or altered?

Is it best to talk over with Custom-Code or the dealership or both?

I wouldnt start fiddling with suspension mate, they might stop your warranty they might not but they are well within their right to. Its not worth the worry, id wait a bit. If you loose your warranty it could cost you megabucks if things go wrong + you will havea nightmare selling it within 3 years.

Your engine warranty etc will be OK.Fitting new none OEM parts to you car only affects the warranty on the parts them self plus any other parts that are affected by the new parts you have fitted. So basically what you want fitted will affect the warranty on your suspension, brakes, anything to do with tracking and wheel bearing. If a dealer wants to be a pain he could include the steering rack and the like. Engine, bodywork, car electric etc are all still covered.I`ve been there and done that and more on my last two new Seat cars and now tweaking my new Audi A3 quattro. At the end of the day it`s up to you to decide if you want to do it or not, if your not happy which the suspension set up or the brakes its better to do it now and have a car you like then wait and have a new car that doesn`t handle or brake to your liking.
