just wondering if a stage 1 remap with an aftermarket panel filter would change the sound of the car?
i dont really fancy giong down the exaust or induction kit road,but everything seems abit muted after climbing out of a shoping trolly civic type r

In front of a PC....
The remap is just changing the software parameters that the ECU is running and won't affect noise at all. The Induction if its the open cone kind will add a bit of noise but you may lose power due to heat soak within the engine bay.
The majority of the noise will come from a cat back or turbo back exhaust as already mentioned.

the remap does make things slighter noisey when giving it some on the exhaust noise.

As said get a new cat back.

Funny - I've just come from a Civic Type R too !
Quite pleased with the level of grunt overall from the Cupra in comparison - but like you I desperately miss the screaming exhaust note of the Civic ! It really added character.
