Hi

I have Toledo 1.9 TD(1999 year). In last few weeks i have problems to start my car.He always turn few times,it goes maybe 3 or 4 turns and then start engine.I change my fuel filter, air filter.I change only two glow plugs because other two are fine. It˘s maybe problem with glow plugs because they are not all the same(two old and two new)??
My engine temperature is problem too,one time is on 90¨ and then go down to 60¨?Does coolant temp sensor have relationship with this my problem?

Does anyone can help me with this problem?

PS.

Sorry for my bad english.

Thx

Do the coolant temp sensor.
It is a VERY common problem on all the VAG cars , that will effect the temp guage and could cause problems with the cold starting

I think I have the same problem, so I would welcome any information that you can pass on about changing the temp sensor.

My car is a 2002 Toledo TDI.

From what I can see, it is on the right hand end of the engine, fitted into the thermostat housing.

As it looks to be facing backwards, it looks really awkward to get at !
I can't even get the wiring connector of it, is there a clip or something ?

Can you please help with some information on how to change this sensor ?

Thanks

I've never changed the temp sensor so I can't help there. But that isn't the thermostat housing it's plugged in to. The thermostat is at the front of the engine, in-line with the bottom hose from the radiator - can't really be seen easily.
