Toledo V5 Vibrations

I'm new here (on SEATCUPRA.NET) but been drving VAGs for years.

Just a Toledo V5, it is fantastic, quick, comfy and spacious! 73k, FSH, 12mths MOT, £2k

BUT, accelerating round left hand bends I get this rumbling (like going over a rumble strip) feeling/noise thru the steering.

Doesn't do it straignt or round right handers.

Any clues, fingers are crossed that I haven't bought a dufffer, everything else on the car is in A1 condition!

Thanks

could be many things. buses need replacing or drive shaft on its way. have you check the cv boot on the drive shaft? check if its split at all.

That was my first thought - cv joint.
Are the CV Joints a common failure?
I'm going to get it thoroughly checked tomorrow.

well they can be on any car. its only a bit of rubber so a sharp stone or something like that can peirce it. happened to me once before and that made a horrible girinding sound and was nasty round corners.

i mean it might not be that but thats the first place i would look. if it is that thenits pretty cheap to fix really. looking at between £50-70 depending on where you go. i had the whole drive shaft replaced and fitted for £90 but thats cus i know the bloke who owns the garage:funk:.

UPDATE,
Had it up on the ramps, turns out it is the near side rear wishbone bush.
You could see it rocking about as the mechanic "teased" it.

Going to put a new set of wisbones on, keep it all even.
