Hi,

I drive a 2001 Tdi 110 s toledo in black. I have made a few performance modifications to help the car along including chipping to 130bhp and a bilstein suspension package.
I need new brake discs and pads on the front and as i tend to drive the car quite hard i was concidering upgrading to Black diamond, Tarox or something similar.

My problem is that when ever I go to order brakes for my car the brake manufacturers say that my car has 280mm discs yet i have measured them my self and they are 288mm.
I would like to know are these the same discs that are on the 2.3 V5 and the later 2003 Tdi 150bhp model.
I've contacted my local Seat dealer and given them the chassis number but even they couldn't help me!
Has anyone come across this on their own toledo?

Regards

Have a look at the build sheet, under the carpet in the boot, one of the option codes relates to the front brakes.

If you find 1LE then the car was built with 288X25MM disks on the front. If you find 1LS, then the OE disc brakes were 280X22MM.
