Turbo Intake Pipe

Turbo Intake Pipe, its the rubber hose that leads from the airbox (just after the airflow/maf sensor) down into a metal pipe that feeds into the turbo. The TIP replaces all of this with a silicon hose which wont crush under boost (which can occasionally happen with the standard pipe) but more importantly removes a bottleneck as the metal pipe turns 90 degrees into the turbo and allows greater airflow.

Some people also say it improves the spool up time of the turbo and allows the turbo to be heard more

The purple piping is the upgrade TIP (not sure why its purple) and the other stuff is the standard, the pics show the difference, ie the standard one flattens out.
