Hi folks

My lad has a 2013 1.4 Ibiza Toca. It's done about 40K miles. Does anyone know when the timing belt is due for replacement? I've called 2 dealers and been given conflicting advice, but they both agree on "now".

I also called an independent garage who tells me that it's likely fine for another 12 months.

Thanks for your time

I'd get it done now and save you worrying about it. I got my daughter's late 2009 Ibiza 1.4 done when it was just under 5 years old, so it will be due soon again. Get it done at an VAG indie and get the water pump replaced at the same time, they will probably fit a genuine refurbed pump and VW Group cambelt kit and replace the coolant, so all good!

Edit:- even let them fit a new auxiliary belt as the old one will get taken off anyway.
