Colliers , Warwick Road Brum. Purchased my Sportrider from there about five or so months ago.. when I/we picked the car up , we noticed a mark on the plastic B pillar was scuffed , mentioned it to the sales manager .. ''No problem'' says he, ''We'll order a new pair in and arrange to get it sorted''.... Ive had to ring and remind the guy twice.. still nothing forthcoming. recently noticed a thread on here that David over at Sere was dealing with that jogged my memory, so rang the dealers, spoke to another lad in the sales Dept. he said nothing has ever been ordered.. which I found very naughty to say the least ( it was after all, the sales manager that had sold me the car/ promised to get this sorted... anyhoo, this lad told me he would get the parts ordered and arrange for Parts Dept. to ring me when they arrive. they did, and i arranged to take the car there this morning ( my day off, so had to get up ealy, no lie -in, take herself to work, then drive across the city to the dealers) they took the car in, came back out about an hour later?!?!?!
and the reception guy gave me my keys.. I toddled out to the car, only to notice that the one thats one there is scratched to buggery!!! I went back in, and then the recep. guy said , ''Oh, I had just noticed, it says wrong parts ordered, so theyve put your original back on, and we'll have to re-order the parts'' now it seems to me the part has been taken off and either scratched on the floor, or put on a rough surface and dragged on something . not a happy bunny!! walked over to the SEAT side of the dealers, but the Sales Manager is not in.
guess who 's getting a rather irate phone call in the moring ???

I know its only a piffling piece of plastic trim, but after 5 or so months, you would think a SEAT DEALER, SELLING/SERVICING SEAT CARS would be able to ORDER THE CORRECT PARTS and get them fitted without PI$$ING of a customer that is now on their THIRD CAR from that dealer?????

guess where my next cars gonna be from ?

It sure as hell aint gonna be the above!

Warwickshire once.
I mentioned how bad they were at a previous meet Brummy, think you might have been stood next to me at the time.

Ring SEAT direct and see if they will let you take it over to Listers in Cov.

you think I'd know by now.. third car an 'all.. on my last Mk4, I actually took it to Barlows in Wolvo for the servicing due to Colliers being so dire.. If its not sorted by the tail end of next week this'll end up being escalated.. stupid bit of plastic or not, I'll make a stand.

if it makes you feel better ,i had to take mine back to the garage 8 times where i brought it from. worked it out that i had done just over 220 miles taking it back and forth. think it was the 2nd or 3rd time it went back they wouldnt let me have the car back ( after it was ment to of been fixed ), went in and said my name and the reg, and they said thats not the name to the reg on their records. it was only when loud noises came out my mouth infront of a very busy garage that they gave me the keys ( could of been anyone really! ). t****rs!

And here we go again....

arranged for dealer to pick up car today ( this was done before christmas, see above)from the wifes works.

so what they do? knock on my front door at home this morning! Feejits!!!
driver was a decent enough fella.. told him that it should have been the work address which is only about 5 mile away (closer to the dealers too as it happens) he said he would go over there and sort it

I checked , double checked and triple checked with the dealer that they had the info correct , even to giving them the works number to call if any problems on the day.
Right at this minute, they have the car, so we'll see if the get it right this time...

Sorted ! :D Finally !! :D:D

and the lad that picked my car up, (from the wifes works, got it sorted, got it washed) and returned it has had a very good report via a phonecall to the NEW service managerESS at the dealers.
he *the lad that sorted stuff* is a credit to the place ,if only the rest of the staff down there could follow his lead.
she is in her fourth day in as manager(ess) and has fielded all the usual calls from disgruntled customers, etc etc but when I called to praise a member of staff she was only to willing to speak
(she actually sounds like a decent person too, but I guess time will tell as im bound to need something sorting/a service at some stage)

so my faith in this particular dealer has been given a boost for now.
:D
