Tighten the clutch?

Hey everyone, I recently got a problem with my ibiza mk2. The clutch is not really going all the way in, I have to push it really really hard into the floor of the car and even then it sounds like im not clutching when going into 1st or reverse.

It feels like I want to tighten the wire of the clutch.. I've been looking at it but can't really figure out how.

Could anyone tell me if this is possible, and how?

Thanks in advance, David.

sounds like the cables stretched - which can be adjusted (look at the mechanism on the gearbox and see if there's any thread left)

or buy a new cable, which will make it much nicer to use

I tried adjusting the side to side cable, after alot of guiding from F2 Stu (thank you) only to come up short, this was not the problem. So on monday I'm going to buy a new clutch wire since it's probably been stretched.

I'll post progress when I've fitted the new clutch wire.

Thanks m0rk, for taking your time.
