throttle body

Finally got all of my bad idle, rough mid range and awful performance sorted after getting the throttle body cleaned professionally only for it to uncover the fact that the throttle body itself is pooped.

I know thery are in excess of £500, so waswondering if anyone knows if there is such a thing as a re-conditioned one for sale anywhere where you might part-ex your old one for a lot cheaper?

I've got a LCT with a AUQ engine.

Try ebay, usually one or two floating around, the Audi A3, TT, etc., use the same TB, I picked up an S3 one for £50.

out of interest, how did you find your throttle body is pooped?
Whats wrong with it?

If you re-set the ECU and run the car about 60 miles later it drops into limp mode and the emmission light comes on.

I took it to the garage that cleaned it and they gave me an error code which was some internal sensor in the TB. I'll stick it on my VAGCOM tomorrow and post the result to get some second opinions if thats ok? But on the whole I think it sounds as if it is knackerd to me especially as they aren't trying to get my business to replace it.

in the mean time are these the right TB Part Numbers: 06A 133 062 C

Bosch Number: 0 280 750 036 ?
