Throttle body realigning everytime i turn ignition on?

The other day I decided to reset my throttle body- re align it.
So i disconnected the batt for 10mins and reconnected it, when I went to turn the ignition on so it could realign it made a quiet buzzing sound- I guess its the bodys motor resetting- fine..

But it seems everytime I turn the ignition on it makes this same sound.
Is there a problem here and is it trying to reset every time i go to start my car?

TBA doesnt happen if you disconnect the battery.

You do it by opening the bonnet and switching the ignition on, then go and have a listen for a high pitch squeel and possible a couple of clicks.

You've just cleared and adaptions.

I know its not the turbo cooling fan, cos I can hear that seperately.

Plus i dont think its the fuel priming either.

The noise is a high pitch squeeal that takes a while to stop and does a couple of clicks too.

I thought that was a throttle body re-alignment not resetting the adaptions in the ECU?

I thought that was a battery disconnect or vag-com jobbie....

i must admit, i can hear mine realigning about 5 in every 10 starts if i start the engine with the door open (cant hear it when inside) always wait for the squeal to go before i start (usually bout 30 secs) cos i dont want to have a half aligned one!

I know what the difference is btw on the noise ;)
