Hi Guys,
There's a bit of history to this problem. and i think my problem now is a worsening of the same problem. See this thread.

Basically this is the previous prob
Leon Cupra 180 - Hesitant almost spluttery under gentle acceleration
My Leon Cupra Sport does this under gentle acceleration. It almost feels like when you have a shafted dizzy cap and rotor arm. Used to happen to my old golf the in the winter if the cap and rotor arm were worn anyway.
THe car almost splutters when feathering the throttle but if you floor it the car accelerates hard without any problems like you would expect. It only happens when i am being conservative with the throttle. When i'm brutal with it the car flies. Could it even be fuel starvation? Or a prob with the turbo? Doesn't sound like there are any leaks and the problem would be more apparent under hard acceleration if it was a turbo leak. It certainly would feel under power if it was a leak. Feels more like an ignition problem.
I've checked for ecu faults with my vagcom and nothing comes up.
Any ideas???
Then tonight i thrashed it out of a junction and the ecu light starting flashing which i havent seen it do before. Usually it's on or off. And now the car is misfiring on some/all cylinders. I plugged in vagcom at the roadside and the following fault code came up
VAG-COM Version: Release 409.1-US
Control Module Part Number: 06A 906 032 MJ
Component and/or Version: 1.8L R4/5VT 0003
Software Coding: 11510
Work Shop Code: WSC 06402
Additional Info: VSSZZZ1MZ3R095593 SEZ7Z0C1924123
2 Faults Found:
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 35-00 - -
16688 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs
P0304 - 35-00 - Please Register/Activate
Any ideas where to start looking for the cause?
I'm going to have a look to identify the fault code that can't be decoded due to the free version of vagcom but i'm guessing it's going to give some kind of generic description and won't be too specific.
Helop would be much appreciated.
Mark
