cholangio carcenoma doh !
Hi all ive just fitted my HID kit (thanks Kam who organised group buy) and they look brilliant even inthe sunshine  But im not sure what to do about the original plastic cover that goes over the the bulbs and wiring  the kits comes with a rubber bung that 4 wires run through but obviously now the original cover wont go back on due to new wires coing in. So what did other people do ? I was thinking of cutting a hole in the cover to fit the rubber bung as I dont want water getting in there ?

sorry no pics but hopefully someone will know what im talking about ;)

cut holes mark, halfords sell rubber grommets that you can bodge/glue on to make them at least splash proof, ive not gotten round to doing mine yet, but then its not really rained that badly over here since i fitted them last month.

comparison of normal dipped beam (the normal one being a philips vision plus uprated bulb) and the hid.

then another comparison between the hid and a philips vision plus full beam, see how much brighter and crisper it is, these were daylight pics too)

of a mate who bought them on ebay, he had two sets, they will cost around 100-120, fitting is easy peasey. uses existing wiring and comes with new harnesses to clip onto the wiring for the ballast units.

The tricky bit for me was getting the clip over the new bulb cause its got 2 wires coming directly out of the back, rest was a doddle. Just gotta cut a hole in the plastic cover now to allow the wiring through and fit the rubber bung to keep the water out. Ill post some piccys up in due course :)
