Don't be scared of it show it who's boss! If you push the clip back with your thumb and then wiggle it out you should be fine! If the notch on the MAF has been damaged you may have to get a small straight edge screwdriver as said and slide it down to release the clip!

ok went and did it came off straight away, ok so i put my old MAF back on the one i have descreened and i am only seeing 178.30g/s of airflow and the MAF i have just removed was seeing 173g/s of airflow. Could there be another problem as to why my g/s is so low bearing in mind i dont have my BMC on there anymore its the standard airbox with standard filter just with a 3" cold air feed going to it.

Check that there is no leaks on the turbo inlet pipe! Do you have a Samco TIP?
If so check all the hoses to and from it are secure! As if may be sucking air from behind the MAF causing a low reading. Check for obstructions in your airbox and feed! Make sure you have a clean filter etc.

If you do have a vacumn leak then if you log block 32 you should see a +ve number in the second column along which indicates it's running lean!

so log block 032 and see what happens, i do have a slight split in my TIP but it does not go all the way through, only down to the white stuff, it is down on the first big pipe that comes off the TIP i think it is some sort of breather

yeah from what i can see in places it gets more than what it asks for and others it gets a little less but not massive amounts to stand out

Well just been out and logged it again, i logged 002,020 and 032, first off with T6 B5, i got hardly any CF the airflow reached 178.32, in the first lambda column i got 0.2 all the way through and in the second one i got mostly -7 and at some points i got -6.3.

The second run i did was T7 B6 and i got a few more CF's but not a lot to worry about i think i got an 8 in the 2nd column at 2450 rpm then it went back to normal. As for airflow i reached 178.69 and the lambda was the same as before.

I must say though since changing the settings the car feels a hell of a lot more responsive and she flies and i mean she feels really quick
