youll struggle for 250bhp from a tdi mate, without uprating the turbo, and other parts.

tdi cupra is 150 standard, a good stage 1 map will produce a reliable 180-185 bhp, with a massive amount of torque, any higher torque and youre looking a an uprated clutch to handle it.

id concentrate on getting 180, which is immense in a diesel, and uprating handling to handle that power, then youll have a fantastic diesel powered macheni

price wise, look on autotrader and see what they go for, but i would say fsh, average mileage, £4000 ish

does it have to be a TDI, why not consider a Cupra. I'm suprised how economical it can be for the performance and you start at 180bhp with 200+ easily achievable.

235 is easily achievable for around £1000 on a cupra.

also the 20vt holds a lower premium than the derv, so youll probably pick one up for less so more to spunk on modding straight away

Hi,
If you're thinking of buying one check to see that it is not leaking water onto the footwells.I have big problems with it and apparently it is quite common in leons.Isn't always to fix either.Apart from that they're nice cars.Good luck.
