To replace the 2.0GTI.

Just after a new car for her. The 5.7% PCP offer is quite tempting.

Anyone any thoughts on the car / offer / PCP etc?

Would keep it for 3 years and then probably take another PCP on a replacement.

Cheers,

Scott

LOL @ intimidator

Brend - just after something more modern (with better safety) as littlun's in her car a lot more than in mine. Cheaper to run etc. (although of course you could argue it's not when you're then paying monthly to have it!).

Not by any means 100% decided - just thinking about it and wondered what others think.

Also as I'm getting a new car when the Cupra comes out - "it's only fair" she gets a new car as well! :givein:

Steve, down to finance really with the good offers Seat are doing currently. We'll be taking a fairly hefty loan when the Cupra comes out I'd imagine, so don't want to have a big one on the ibiza.

If the 1.2 was on the low rate PCP we'd be looking at that.

Only concern is the mrs. will miss the power of the GTI. She was frustrated with the lack of it in the 1.6 new leon loan car we had.

So you mention that you want something cheap to run and she wants something that's better perfromance than the 1.6 Leon.

Hmmm do you think you would be better off with the Ibiza 1.9TDI PD Sport under that deal????

I'm not seeing the TDI sport on that offer.

Did you mean the FR?

Remember that the PD Sports now have the 100bhp engine - earlier Sports had the 130 (until the FR came along).

Brendy -> The Mk4 Ibiza will be safer, has got a 4-star NCAP rating - I doubt the earlier models were as safe.
Side & curtain airbags would be a good option if that's an area of priority (it would be for me). Not sure which models they are standard on and which have them as options.

Ive got side and curtain airbags on my Fr as an option(£230 iirc), its just good to know you have that extra little bit of protection in the case of an accident.
