im hopefully picking up an ibiza fr 20vt next week. i have a garrett t28 from an s14a 200sx in my garage which i took off my previous car and it has no shaft play whatsoever and boosted really nice.

would i be able to have this fitted to the ibiza and would i see some good gains with a stage 2 custom map?

to my knowledge the fr 150 comes with the ko3 turbo? same as the golf gti 150 turbo.

i know it will need flanges making up etc etc and i can get this done at a very reasonable price.

so some opinions needed please

the FR has the Ko3s turbo , which i believe is slightly different to the ko3. just out of intrest what can the t28 handle power wise??

well i know of s14s running around 350-400bhp safely on t28.

just out of interest what is your ibiza running mods wise? my 200 had the t28 with relevant chip, fuel pump etc made 231.3bhp on low boost at 10 psi and was capable of running around 1.2 bar with fmic safely. i knwo the ibiza is a complete different kettle of fish lol

my ibiza has forge FMIC, Forge TIP, Forge DV, Full miltek exhaust system, Revo stage 2 remap, the car runs at 21psi. the last rolling road i did i was running 220bhp but i have recently increased the boost and timing so hopefully should be nearer the 230bhp mark

sweet, a mate of mine has a similar setup on his golf but he has the pancake thats been replaced with a bigger tubular item and full turbo back 3" exhaust system inc downpipe and he ran 231.7bhp at our recent rolling road day and that thing flies

looking at what your going to need i dont think is going to be cheap im guessing around the £2000 mark for all the parts ie FMIC,Exhaust system,Fueling,Injectors,Brake upgrade to stop the thing because the std brakes are poor

think ill be having a set of brembo's off a mates leon cupra r to go on the ibiza. who would be the best pro's to ring regarding this conversion? as in turbo conversion, brakes i can do myself

Quite a few sponsors on here do the Turbo conversions - check them out, Jabba and JBS spring to mind...
