a lil sub question while we're on the subject of spray jobs

Im due to collect my bump strips n eyebrows tomorrow all sprayed up n smoothed.

i took off the originals tonight which leaves u with the sticky (annoying) bits to get off :censored:

Anybody gotta a quick n safe ways to get it off apart from maybe a bit of elbow grease or pressure washed ??

when i hadmine done the put the car in the spray booth then heated it up to 60 degrees so pannel temp was about 30 all came off bar one little bit witout leaving any sticky stuf on. so using heating up the stuff wont harm the paint as long as you dont go ott

there is stuff from 3M that i always use for removing the badges etc-good gear.

were you not left with holes for the rivet while the rub strips were away?

I had mine painted on the car which was an ok job-did for the interim. Car goes in next tues for: Removal of rub strips (holes welded over), skirts modified and smoothed into body, MS Design front splitter modified and moulded into bumper, bump strips on front/rear bumper removed and smoothed, bonnet resprayed.

Should be very euro when i get back from Cuba!!

That'll look sweet ^

I'm intrigued to see what it'll look like with the bump strips smoothed into the bumpers, are you not tempted to do the plate recess aswell?

dunno - ive nowhere to put the plate then as i dont want to block the Forge FMIC.

the bump strips on the bumpers have to be cut out then smoothed over as they sit out too far! Not an easy job but should look good!! Pity im selling it soon!

look here...just down the page is a photoshop courtesy of stocky, showing what it will look like!
