I was reading about this in last nights Golf Plus mag,

now i'm not sure if i was getting the point of it, but foe ngh on £4k they will change the head and turbo and a few other bits on a stndard 150 1.8T and push it to 240bhp using a K-03s, this just seemed a little pointless to me.

They then bragged about if they used the K-04 they could touch 300Bhp.

Now unless i have missed something,

whats the point of it being 2.0 then, surely there's no real gains over a 1.8T with turbo swap etc.

Just seemed a real waste of £5k

If the turbo can't flow any more air than 210g/s (or so) then you can strap it to whatever sized lump you want & it will still be a restriction

I didn't know TSR had a dyno capable of even recording power still.

yep, heard that too the very best were the early agus with forged cranks. put a post on vortex when id heard people here saying the standard crank was rated at 450 bhp. some reckoned theyd never heard of a broken crank yet in an 18t!!

I went to a skoda RR day last year and TSR roller are really old, only read up to about 220/230 bhp and no torque figure. They kept braking down as well so waste of time really.
