decided that i needed a run around so i would clock up more miles on the ibiza!

needing something that looked the part, was very good on fuel, and decent looking

so i bought this lol

A VW Jetta mk 2 GX 1.6 TD

and i love it, power is nowhere to be seen but its not a car to be driven fast!

as for the typical rust area's, amazingly its been garaged for a very long time and theres hardly a scratch on it!

comments please, ill get more up tomorrow as theses are the only ones i have on the pc, plus its 5 am and ive still not gone to sleep! night night folks lol

Nice one, have a soft spot for the Jetta as I've had a couple myself over the years!

I used to have a Mk2 Jetta many moons ago (well 2 actually). First one was a red GTi 16v small bumper on an 'E' plate (1987), and an 'H' plate big bumper GTi 8v 1991 model.

As I also had Golfs, I will say that whilst the Jetta was always the bargain of the two, it actually had far more neutral handling than the Golf.

for the time being, ive 2 more days insurance on the jetta, so its going off the road till after edition 38, then the very day i get back the ibiza's geting parked up in the shed to give it a complete overhaul.

ill be doing wee mods to the jetta aswell! going to retro fit electric windows and possibly get air con fitted.

volkswagen group is awesome i honestly think, parts are so easy to come by and can be inter changed with other cars
