TFSI coil Pack Problems

Hi All,

Just had my 2nd coil pack fail within 3 months of the last one.
Any one with the Leon FR petrol experiencing problems with theirs???
I have asked SEAT UK today to replace the other 2 coil packs - they have insisted that they will only replace them if they fail!!!

I spoke with a technician the other week who informed me that my coil packs are revision 'B' and they are now upto 'D'.
I am really peed off, as l leave for a 2.6k round trip holiday in 2 weeks.

Any advice or similar experiences l would like to hear.

speak to the dealer ask if you can take a couple of sets with you incase you need them while your away. Offer to leave a deposit or something for them.

Good idea, never thought of that one.

l'll try - although you know what the stealers can be like.........dont mind taking 300 notes for a service, but ask for a favour and you might well have insulted their mother!!

DanGB, thanks for the link man - l did a search and nothing came up??

Mine is a 2006 car, do you know what revision your coil packs are???

I am told they are upto 'D'. cool car by the way - how low is it? Are both pics of the same car??? daft question, but the front bumpers look different? one looks like FR, other (side on) like standard?

I take it all back!!

Coil problem

Well my 2007 leon tfsi justed turned 18000 miles and 6 miles later went onto 3 cylinders with engine warning light flashing. I had my 2 children in the car both under 5. I was not impressed. I rang Seat assist who sent the AA who diagnosed number 3 coil the AA man did not have a coil to fit so after him chasing about eventually got one but this is over 2 hours later kids going daft and us all freezing. Anyway my Seat assist runs out end of December 08. If one coil has gone are the other three going to follow. My coil was code B. Cheers Kev
