Afternoon all.

So I picked up my brand new Terramar 3 days ago. No complaints whatsoever with the actual car. Beautiful car.

However, I noticed today it's on LingLong tyres. A cheap Chinese made tyre. Which i find is very strange being a new car but on cheap budget tyres? Is this normal practice or has my cupra dealer doing my legs here with cheap tyres?

I've never in my life had a new car on budget tyres?

Regards

The Terramar is built in the Audi factory in Hungary, from what I have read, my tyres are Continentals.
Thanks, I know the Tavascan was headed for China. My Terrramar Wikipedia research lied to me then as it said it was built with the next Gen Q3 which that page told me was being built in China.

I believe the Terramars are built in the Audi factory in Hungary. However, after some research, apparently, VW group does use LingLong specifically for their Tiguan and Terramar line up. Depending on models.

On my Terramar I have Bridgestone Turanza 6 (19"), but the spare is LingLong 😃
PS. And the model is built in Hungary

Apparently, the tyres producer also depends on the rim size...

Don’t worry to much, I have Linglongs on my Terramar from factory and there actually a really good tyre at the minute, They also come with the OEM stamp for VW on them (+)

I’ve used it in both wet and dry conditions and the handling has been really good on these tyres and I’m pleasantly surprised (better handling than some of the other premium brands I’ve used in the past on my Ateca)

that actually come with an A Rating aswell

I've not seen Linglong tyres on a Tiguan yet, they've all been Continentals. Could be different in other market areas though.

Do you mean the Terramar?

if so they only seem to be on the 19 inch alloys (so the v2), but they can also fit the Hankooks and Bridgestones to the v2 with the 19 inch rims

so just seems to be what stock they have in at the time

No the Tiguan, as JAG had said Linglongs were fitted on both models.

I've only only ever seen the Tiguans leave the factory with premium rubber fitted.
