Temperature Problem.

Hi after some spirited driving I noticed my temperature gauge starting to drop off and never returning to 90 where it would normally sit. The next day after driving for 15 mins or so the gauge started to drop again to around 60 and never returned. However the last few days has been ok staying @ 90 although I have noticed slight hesitation @ 2000 rpm sounds to me like the temeratur sender is goosed what do you guy's think? Haven't got use of vagcom so can't check the codes.

My temperature guage was playing up when I got the car - it would fluctuate between rock bottom and 90 degress (just above in fact). As the car's under a 1 year warranty, I took it back to the stealers. They put a new sender on and its fine now - sits just a shade above 90

Its just could be minor glitz! The new water pump most likley made out metal instead of plastic! so it flow alot quicker, then cools down! Your termostat must be opening quicker.

Here tip to clear air lock, (when it cold ), remove the cap 4d raditor and start it up. This will clear any air locks. Leave for a few mins.!

If you have vag.com. you check the actual temp its showing compared to the one displayed on the dash!
