Temperature light after water pump change?

Hi All,

Hope someone might be able to help me as I'm a bit clueless when it comes to this sort of thing!

I just had my cambelt and water pump changed on my 54 reg Leon Cupra and now when I first turn the engine on the temperature warning light beeps and then continues to flash throughout the journey.

If I've been driving for about 5 minutes and stop and turn the engine off and back on there's no beep and no warning light suggesting that the temperature and coolant are fine? Could this be some kind of fault resulting from the water pump being fitted incorrectly?

I had the coolant sensor changed about 4 months ago so I don't think it can be that?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Topped up the level just to be sure (it was over the minimum) but hasn't made any difference :(
