my baby had her 70k service yesterday. bless

i told the guy that shes a bit hesitant/surgy until shes warmed up. he said hed found two fault codes. 1. maf and 2. temp sensor

a few days before i experinced a big power surge after starting her up. esp kicked in and the car shook ect. this killed the maf which i then replaced, hence the code. i also serviced the dv.

my temp dial is at 90 as usual.

can anybody tell me the symptoms of this sensor failing? could i manually test it?

he said the car is running great. but i want it 100% before futher modding.

ive searched on here and the sensors seem cheap and easy to change, just wondering if its causing the hesitancy/surging at low engine temps?

My Cupra had a problem starting on occasion, especially if I stopped for a bit after a long journey and then got back into the car and tried to start again. Also noticed a few random power dips.
Garage hooked up the diagnostic and it was the temp sensor causing the problem. Something to do with fuel mixtures, apparently...

cheers mate:D

i was expecting to see the gauge change or engine light to come on... but it sounds like it can have varying symptoms. fuel mix tends to be richer on start up so it makes sense. i`ll change it:rolleyes:
