Temp Sensor

Hi All.

Im thinking about changing my black top temp sensor to a green one (there are no faults with my car just know its a common fault). Could you please tell me wheather after changing it i have to reset anything with vag com or is it a straight swop?

Dont bother till it goes mate! but you dont need to reset anything if you do change it

I had to, i had to clear all the faultcodes and freeze frame off the ecu as it was still same with new sensor. When the black ones fail it can make awful symptoms, mine was missfiring, popping through intake, and running way way to rich as plugs were black as hell. But the temp guage was fine.
