temp gauge maybe faulty

paul-murphys

efr 6758 here i come
i changed my turbo other day an filled up coolant with only coolant as didnt have a tap near buy. anyway since ive done that the coolant reading keeps going beetween 65 an 90 if not reving hard goes down to 65 an if rev engine a bit it goes to 90. would you say this is a coolant temp sender or could it be due to the cold weather, silly question i no but needs sorting, also by any chance could this cause blue smoke cause engine thinks its cold an puts more fuel in on idle.

thankyou

You still need to squeeze the pipes,an air lock gets my vote, especially seeing it was working fine (it was wasn't it?) before you changed the turbo?
