Hi folks, only just found this forum - looks good. Just a quick (typical newbie style  ) couple of questions...

I'm looking at buying a damaged '97 Toledo 1.9TDi sxe, with a view to fitting the engine/box etc in my Mk1 VW Caddy (so may have some breakage to get shot of sometime) Was just wondering what the power output of this motor is likely to be, I'm guessing it would be a 90???? Also, what would the engine code be? Any help much appreciated. Cheers, Dan.

SXE seems to indicate it might be higher spec. Could be a 110 engine. I had a SLXI octavia TDI for a while, and that was 110. It would appear to be a 90 from the google'ing I just did though.

I reckon the engine code will be AHU, but it could be 1Z too.

Thanks for that fella. I think it may be a 90 also but that's still an improvement on 75bhp & no torque (from my Caddy, where the motor & box are *hopefully* going if I get the cash in time!!)
