hey,

does anyone have an accurate bhp/torque figure for the 1.9 tdi? I know SEAT are usually fairly conservative with their published figures, just wondered if anyone knows if the real figure is different and if so, by how much. My mates peugeot 1.9tdi is meant to be 92bhp and i flounced him hands down

I haven't got the figures but i'm told that its 90BHP. If your mate has got a 306 1.9TD, you have got about a 100Kg weight advantage over him, the Ibiza has a kerb weight of 1035Kg and the 306 is about 1150Kg.

True, but i had my rather large friend in the passenger seat and he had an empty car...

90bhp and 155 ft/lb of torque. your engine is much more andvanced that his, yous has direct injection, his is indirect and a lower pressure so power delivery is totally different. the 306 is also much heavier.
