TDI 150bhp Temperature Sender fitting.

I've got a 2004 Toledo 1.9 TDI 150bhp and have a got a replacement coolant temperature sender unit.

I can't find it in the engine bay! I just have no clue where it goes! I've looked and looked, but just can't find it. I've little experience with diesel engines or turbo engines. I've done searches on here but found nothing specific to a 150bhp TDI.

Any help appreciated. I just need to know where to plug it in.

Looking at the engine form the front of the car right hand side of block on rear is where you will find it. It can be seen easily with the engine cover removed. When you remove it be ready for some coolant loss. It may neeed some persuasion to pull out when you have removed the retaining clip

Ps I presume its the coolant sensor
